A 12-year-old girl was slashed inside a Bronx middle school on Wednesday morning, just 24 hours after another teen was stabbed inside his Brooklyn high school, police said.
At approximately 9:40 a.m. police officers responded to a 911 call at J.H.S. 123 James M. Kieran in Soundview, where they found the girl with a wound in her right leg. She was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals Jacobi and is expected to recover, police said.
Police arrested a “person of interest” in the case, according to an NYPD spokesperson.
Just 24 hours earlier, a 15-year-old boy was stabbed inside a Brooklyn high school by his classmate.
He was hospitalized with a stab wound in his abdomen and is expected to survive. The suspect, another 15-year-old boy at the high school who police say got into an argument with the victim, was arrested on Tuesday.
