As Gerard Butler steps forward in the genre with a distinctive feature, Dean Devlin candidly reflects on his experience. Geostorm. We narrowly escaped Geostorm 1. The truth of the matter is that I was replaced in Geostorm. Someone else rewrote and directed 60% of the film. So this is not my film. If they ever want to go back and restore my film version, I'd be happy to do that and I'd be happy to make a sequel.


A sequel to Butler's Apocalypse could reverse the failure of Geostorm

during Geostorm's release, the disaster film genre was on a marked decline in both popularity and general acceptance.
