Jay Uso and Pete Dunne booked their place in a Fatal Four Way to determine the next contender for the Intercontinental Championship, and Randy Orton cut an exciting promo ahead of the World Heavyweight Championship against Gunther.
The moment of the night certainly came from Bronson Reed and Braun Strowmanthe former drove the latter through the roof of the car in a devastating final maneuver. You just have to see to believe. Winners & Losers recaps the night's action with facts, context and commentary on the current state of WWE during one of the hottest times in the company's history. This week's episode of Raw aired from the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, Rhode Island
Dirty Dominic Mysterio
The most hated man in WWE is having a hell of a Monday night
The segment may have ended with JD McDonagh and Carlito getting beaten up by The Terror Twins, but it was Dirty Dominic Mysterio's night. In addition to hosting weekly nuclear heat from the Providence, RI audience, Dirty Dom locked up his Deadbeat father, Rey Mysteriofor the second time this year during Doomsday's entertaining victory over LWO.
Liv Morgan took part in the finish, showing that the WWE Women's Champion and her boyfriend are on the same page ahead of their clash with Damien Priest and Rhea Ripley at the Bash in Berlin this Saturday. the best Dirty Dom enters the Intercontinental Championship tournament. Whether he succeeds or not, it's great to see his trajectory and status reflected in the booking, and the North American Championship in NXT shows he can add focus and prestige to his title.
Main event Jey Uso
He is one step closer to his first singles championship
Competing in his first match since the July 29 episode of Monday Night Raw. The main event was Jay Uso becoming the first person to qualify for a number one contender's match for the Intercontinental Championship. The Uso's defeated Karrion Cross and Kofi Kingston to win the first of four triple threat qualifiers, and Pete Dunne, the winner of the night's second qualifier, will participate in a Fatal Four Way on Raw in two weeks to determine who will win the Championship match.
Jay's lack of matches on the TV did nothing to dampen the electric response he received wherever he went. It's totally a case of when he gets his hands on gold or not. That's the big question Will Jay Uso be the next Intercontinental Champion? It may be premature as we don't yet know the full lineup for the match, but Jay Uso feels like the favorite to face Bron Breaker. Whoever it is, no one is questioning the position of the IC address anymore.
Randy Orton
Just a microphone and a message from the 14-time world champion
It's an exciting time for Viper. Randy Orton's ability to tell stories in the ring has been masterful for years, however Orton's current presentation forces him to take on topics that are almost completely new to The Viper. In general, thank you for being able to return to the ring, embrace the trust and friendship with Kevin Owens and announce that he is a better person than the Randy Orton of yesterday.
This is in Orton's favor WWE has gotten exponentially better at mastering a wrestler's long history with the company. It's during promotions like Randy that the post-Vince McMahon scene really stands out. Even the simplest mention of Legacy causes excitement. The John Cena Retirement Tour is getting closer and closer with each passing week. It's a good time to be Randy Orton.
Bronson Reed and Braun Strowman
A must-see all-time great Monday Night Raw moment
Where Bronson Reed and Braun Strowman defy the death at the end of their match is something we'll see on replays for years to come. In the latest chapter of his current reign of terror, Reed put a defenseless Strowman on top of a car before covering the wall and sending Strowman through the roof with a Tsunami Frog Splash. As his body collided with Strowman's, the car's windows exploded like something out of an action movie. It's the kind of place that gets you off your couch and is undoubtedly the highlight of Reed's incredible summer.
A word for Braun Strowman as well. After months of adequate distraction for Doomsday, this One Big SOB was in fantastic form throughout the match. Taking out multiple WWE Security Guards in an over-the-top, comical way was fun as always. Brown may have ended the night at a local medical facility, but it wasn't for nothing. This effort will not be forgotten. It's safe to say that this scene will remain viral for at least a week.
Hello uncle
His first victory in his long-awaited in-ring debut
After months of dry ice, threatening behavior, and general scary shenanigans, Uncle Howdy won his first match in a WWE ring by defeating Chad Gable in the Main Event of Monday Night Raw. Bo Dallas wrestles as Uncle Howdy, with an aura that matches Bray Wyatt's rugged, powerful style and is distinctly different from the ferocity employed by his Wyatt Sicks cohorts. By any measure, this was a satisfying start to Howdy's in-ring journey, and the battle between American Made and Howdy's men felt glorious.
Now it's time to add to the approach of Uncle Howdy and The Wyatt Sicks. Sitting somewhere between Supernatural and the Saw franchise, the video vignettes are impressive, but need a bit more variety. It's time to travel further down the rabbit hole Who is Howdy, what makes him tick, and what are his motivations for his future in WWE. It's a story that gets off to a pretty solid start.
Chad Gable
The American Made leader needs some numbers in the win column
No matter how it is sliced, A single win since February isn't good enough for Chad Gable. It's easy to look at the Olympics with a glass half full. The American Made stable boasts a wealth of talent, cohesive aesthetics, and zeitgeist-capturing tricks tailored specifically for gravel cages. His ring work is flawless, TV time has improved. What does it take for a man to get a few wins here?
Defeat to Uncle Howdy it feels like a logical place for both parties to go their separate ways. Maybe Gable is coming back to get revenge on his former teammates at Alpha Academy, but ideally, Chad and his new family will have something fresh to sink their teeth into.
WWE Security Guards
Two beatdowns in one night for WWE's boys in black
It's like CM Punk and Drew McIntyre have said all the words that can be said to each other since their feud began in January this year. It felt like a wise decision to keep things physical, with Punk stepping out from under the ring to stop McIntyre's move with the leather strap ahead of this weekend's Belt match at Bash in Berlin (following a viral Instagram live stream in pitch black).
Punk would then turn on the WWE Security Team who were sent in to calm the situation downAs Corey Graves gleefully points out the fine he will incur for his actions, he whips them like government mules. Because a bodyguard is never done, Braun Strowman would throw one bodyguard through a flying box, another through a guardrail, and the last through a dining table. It was fun to watch, but being a WWE Security Guard was not a fun evening.
