Monday Night Raw He was in incredible shape WWE Bad Blood headed to Portland, OR to continue on the road. CM Punk opened the show with an ominous promo with a missing Drew McIntyre, Pete Dunne coming off a big win over Sheamus, and tension on The New Day reaching an all-time high as a breakup seemed imminent.
Jey Uso and Bron Breaker will headline next week's Raw and set up an intercontinental title match with an incredible showdown. Bronson Reed and Braun Strowman tore each other apart and tore the building apart (literally), Damien Priest would defeat Dominic Mysterio in the night's Main Event, but Doomsday would later make Priest and his Terror Twin Rhea Ripley pay with an epic blowout. close the show.
Jey Uso and Bron Breaker
Two fan favorites are driving Portland crazy
The Portland crowd looked like a red-hot audience all night, though The building was especially rocking during an electric promo between Jey Uso and Bron Breaker ahead of next Monday's Intercontinental Championship match.. Intensity is the name of the game when both face off and here it reaches a whole new level. Family insults appeared regularly, but here, By going to the well about Uso Breaker's failed NFL career, Bron snubbed Jey's singles career.
It will be very interesting to see which way the opposing crowd leans next week because The sound and barking of the audience was almost equal here. The Intercontinental Championship has long been rumored to be important again. Listen to both of these men's reactions. Get a feel for the anticipation ahead of next week's match. The evidence is undeniable.
Iyo Sky vs Bianca Belair
What. A. Encounter.
Iyo Sky vs. Bianca Belair is a match worthy of WrestleMania and proved to be the in-ring highlight of the night. Great sequences, with both women exploding, ear-splitting “that's awesome” chants, and a spot where Bianca and Ion are hoisted up the ring steps in a must-see suplex position.
Damage CTRL and the duo of Belair and Jade Cargill have clashed briefly recently, but this is the first time they've stepped into the ring to settle their issues. It can't be their last. Iyo Sky would claim victory after a non-stop thriller of a match it will be discussed in the coming weeks. Jade Cargill and Kairi Sane will definitely be dancing in the coming weeks. This is an incredible start to this feud.
CM Punk
One of the best promos since his return to WWE
The opening was Second City Saint on Monday Night Raw A promo that makes the idea that this is a downer version of CM Punk laughable. Paul Heyman says that the best thing about Jake 'The Snake' Roberts is that when he talks, he looks through the screen and into the depths of your soul. This promo reflected that sentiment.
There was no pause. There is no physicality. No yelling. Just raw, ice-cold lyrics, with the classic “I'm going to bleed you” statement and a scary word Drew McIntyre will have to kill him to beat him in Bad Blood. Bring it on October 5th.
Natalya
The Queen of Hearts is back with a bang
A technical and difficult return to singles competition after her big comeback last Monday in Calgary Natalya defeated Zoe Starks after exchanging roll-up pins. It's an exciting time for the Hart Family Dungeon graduate. There were extensive negotiations before he signed his new WWE deal, and for good reason, he has proven to be an asset to any company.
Natalya was born into credibility and has years of experience in the WWE ecosystem since 2007. Although he never lived up to his full potential, one of the lessons the Paul Levesque era taught us is to never say never. He certainly has great potential to be an important component of WWE's future behind the camera.
Judgment Day
Finn and The Gang are on fire right now
This might have been the best night for the new look Doomsday yet. There's no shame in Dominic Mysterio losing Damien Priest, especially when the show went off the air with The Judgment Day destroying and dominating The Terror Twins. Finn Balor was in great form as the master manipulator. Her revelation that she told Dom to dump Rhea for Liv (to her face!) was delicious.
The most underrated moment of the night was the group scaring Ilja Dragunov for being nice to Jay Uso. Bad Blood literally feels like Doomsday for the Terror Twins. Finn and Liv face year-defining encounters with Priest and Rhea respectively. There are two more episodes of Raw between now and then. Expect fireworks.
New Day
Is the end near for Kingston and Woods?
This will hurt. Since its debut on July 21, 2014, The New Day has been one of the most popular acts in WWE history. More impressive than their 13 Tag Team Championship reigns, The New Day's friendship has never been broken in a decade as a team. Their Tag Team Championship shot against Doomsday was cut short by Liv, Dom and Carlito before LWO made the save. The feuding factions on the sidelines would distract the referee as Xavier Woods beat JD McDonagh. before Finn broke the count and he and JD finished off the win.
Cracks were hinted at during the rivalry with The Final Testament, but there was something different about Woods this time around. During one of the best backstage interactions seen on Raw in years, Xavier lost it after learning that Kofi Kingston was behind the LWO being at ringside. Kofi doesn't think they're strong without Big E when he admitsthe whole situation has changed. It was a great storytelling moment that delved into real life, as only the best stories do. This will definitely be a “loser” moment for fans of The New Day, but it's great to see this man finally involved in a high-profile story.
The Miz
The reaction should be as loud as the disrespect
The Miz is one of the most polarizing figures in WWE history. Ask five different people how they feel about The Miz and you'll likely get five different answers. What can't be denied is that he's beaten everyone he's really had to beat, and he's one of the most decorated superstars of any era. So why is Braun Strowman blatantly disrespectful when he says he wants to face Bronson Reed?
This question was answered perhaps a little later in the night. Strowman and Bronson Reed entered the ring for their match, but a top rope snap led to an all-out war. Reed threw a fan at Strowman (seriously), Braun responded by running Bronson through the barricade outside the ring. Finally, the two wolves drove each other through the wall. The question is, what will Miz's role be in this fight? Is his only role in WWE to be disrespectful to hype up other matches?
- Bron Breaker was released in 2020 by the NFL team Baltimore Ravens.
- The last time the Intercontinental Championship changed hands on Monday Night Raw was when The Miz defeated Roman Reigns on January 22, 2018.
- Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have only met three times since WrestleMania 40.
- This was The Judgment Day's first defense of the WWE Tag Team Championship since winning it on June 24.
- Front row tickets should be discounted if there is a risk of being thrown by Bronson Reed.
- Reed vs Strowman > Godzilla vs Kong.
- There are signs of a split between Ludwig Kaiser and Guenther as Austrian Sami continues to reject Zein's challenge.
- Nobody called Dominic Mysterio “Ricky Dreamboat”, Wade.
