Warning! Spoilers for Batman/Superman: World's Finest #29!I know he's not the cutest The bat family member, but the villainous bat finally gets his due in a glorious moment. Chaos has arrived in the Third Dimension in the form of the Sixth Dimensional threat Doom-Mite, and when a hero is needed, the dumbest possible hero steps up in a moment that I absolutely love.
In Batman/Superman: World's Finest #29 Mark Waid and Dan Mora, Bat-Mite and Mr. Mxyzptlk travel the DC Universe and collect every magic user they can find to defeat Doom-Mite. The team returns and uses their combined magic to remove the Sixth Dimension from Doom-Mite.
Unfortunately, Doom-Mite is starting to get a second wind. With no other option, Bat-Mite breaks away from the pack and puts all his energy into a strike that knocks Doom-Mite back.. The heroes drain all remaining energy from Doom-Mite, finally ending the strange villain's reign of terror.
Bat-Tick gets a Big Hero Moment by defeating a God-like villain
Batman and Superman are used to the strange threats that come to the DC Universe, but even they turn a blind eye to the arrival of Doom-Mite. After destroying the heroes of the Fifth Dimension, the League of Just-Us, the threat of the Sixth Dimension ventures to Earth to find its greatest hero and creates dozens of villains to help the world's worst supervillains. While Clark and Bruce learn more about what the Doom-Mite is, Jimmy Olsen helps defeat the army of mites with the help of Mxyzptlk. unfortunately Doom-Mite proved to be too powerful for Olsen or any Emperor to handle on their own.
I love Bat-Mite, but the truth is, he's always been more of a jerk than a hero. But this entire arc was about proving one thing: For all his childish obsession, Bat-Mite embodies the spirit of the hero he stands for. A Fifth Dimension emperor almost never faces real life or death risks, but he could indeed die fighting Doom-Mite. But like Batman, he dug deep and went into danger just to save the day. As a fan of this little screw ball, This is definitely the best moment in the history of the forgotten member of the Bat-Family.
Never forget the Bat's place in the Bat Family
It's easy to overlook Bat-Mite's role in Batman's history because his extreme silliness doesn't fit with the more realistic parts of Dark Knight lore. But like it or not, you can't ignore that Bat-Tick does A member of the Bat-Family, or you mustn't forget, it was Bat-Mite who was willing to sacrifice himself to defeat Doom-Mite. Is Bat-Mite ridiculous? Undoubtedly. But he is a hero like everyone else The bat family and without him, who knows where the DC Universe would be if the Emperor Doom-Mite hadn't been unleashed?
