Like the Wizard of Oz

Ready to go right away, Rio is seen hopping and whistling on the Road as the others look on. So it's an obvious reference The Wizard of Oz and a trip down the classic yellow brick road.

It can be imagined that the next tests on the Path will be the “air” and “earth” phases, which complete the lunar and elemental sequence.
12 Agatha had a 70's rock vibe in episode 4
Agatha impersonates Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks
Upon entering the house, the entire coven is transformed into a new look and outfit that resembles a 70's rock band. So it fits with this new trial, which involves her mother Lorne, Alice, the 70s rock icon best known for her special rendition of the ballad Witches' Road. premiere. In addition, Agatha's new look in particular looks like a huge homage to Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks..
11 Lilia Calderu Has A Very Familiar Look
Tribute to Liza Minnelli
Coven's all new 70s look is quite impressive and captures the era incredibly well. But, a new style for Patti Lupone's fortune telling witch Lilia Calderu takes the cake with the ultimate tribute to the great Liza Minnelli He released several albums in the 70s. Minelli is also his daughter The Wizard of Oz Judy Garland.
10 Salem Witch Trials Paintings
Pain of the Past Witches
While exploring the house, Lilia comes across a disturbing collection of painted murals. Each depicts a witch believed to have been tortured to death during the Salem Witch Trials. So it's no surprise that Lilia gets emotional looking at the works that depict the pain and suffering of former witches.
9 Werewolf mask
A wolf in the night?
Jennifer Hale also finds a collection of dark masks adorning the walls. This includes very wolf-like eyes, as well as eyes that disappear behind a mask when Jennifer is looking.. To that end, it's possible it could be a connection A wolf in the nightAnother supernatural-laden TV project from the MCU in 2022, starring Gael García Bernal.
8 “Play Me” Feels Like Alice In Wonderland
Agatha episode 4 is about Alice…
Eventually, Teen finds and plays a record that she believes is a clue to start the test. It's about the sleeve with the words “Play Me”.. So it's probably a connection Alice in Wonderland Food and drinks with “eat me” and “drink me” labels, a fitting connection that sees how this new challenge applies to Alice Wu-Gulliver.
7 Rolling back records
Classic Horror in the 70s
When the record starts playing, the coven realizes it's playing backwards. As a result, this phenomenon of hearing satanic voices is naturally associated with the classic fear and myth that arose in the 1970s that playing certain albums backwards contained satanic messages.. In this case, the danger seems quite real Agatha Along episode 4.
6 “Ask Alice”
“White Rabbit” by Jefferson Airplane
At one point Agatha Along part 4, Lilia commands “Ask Alice” about her experience in the ballad of the witches' path. Although this could be completely coincidental, it could be a connection to Jefferson Starship's song “White Rabbit”. After all, it would tie in quite nicely with the overall 70s aesthetic of the episode.
5 The Ballad of Lorna
A literal Protection spell
Realizing that they must play Lorna's ballad to ward off the curse of Alice's lineal family, it is Agatha who realizes that the entire song was created by Alice's mother as a protection spellAs a child, he was tied to a tattoo by his mother. With the song constantly played by fans and taken on tour, Lorna's ballad kept Alice safe when she should have died years ago. So the whole coven plays a rock rendition of the ballad Witches' Road, which was first referenced by Teen. Agatha Along episode 2.
4 Alice's Living Curse
The First “Demon” in the MCU
By playing the Ballad of Lorna in Witches' Road, the coven makes Alice's curse visible and palpable. So it has the form of a winged demon. To that end, it can be argued that this is the first “demon” ever featured in the MCU..
3 Three Swords
Symbolizes Pain and Heartburn
A teenager immediately collapses due to blood loss after being injured by a shard of glass in the side before a coven performance. Of course, the rest of the coven, especially Agatha Harkness herself, is quite distressed. However, Lilia is heard muttering “Three Swords”.. The Three of Swords is a tarot card that means pain, suffering, and especially nausea. Although the teenager survives this encounter, Agatha's fear of losing the teenager is certainly highlighted by Lilia's comments.
2 Lilia's vampire bite
Additional MCU ties before the blade
While the teenager rests and heals her wound, the other witches are seen bonding and sharing stories from their past. This includes sharing battle scars. First, Lilia Calderu shares a vampire bite she received years ago on her neck, claiming that one tooth bit her before ripping out the other tooth. So this further confirms that vampires exist and have been active in the MCU for centuries.and all before Mahershala Knife which is still struggling to get off the ground.
It was the first confirmation of the existence of vampires in the MCU Loki Season 1 with commentary by TVA agent Mobius (Owen Wilson). However, vampires were further confirmed A wolf in the night With several pictures and trophies found during a meeting and competition of monster hunters involving Man-Thing and Jack Russell's titular monster. now, Agatha Along continued to reference vampires, even though vampires (and Blade) had yet to fully debut.
1 Daughters of Liberty
Links to Agatha's Comic History
After Lilia shares her vampire bite Agatha Along episode 4, Agatha herself shares her scars. He rolled up his arms, Harkness shows a scar that she says is from a knitting needle belonging to the Daughters of Libertya group he had destroyed in the past. A real-life group formed in 1765, the Daughters of Liberty aided the Sons of Liberty during boycotts against the British Empire just before the American Revolution. This included yarn bees where girls would make their own clothes for their families rather than buy British textiles (hence the knitting needle).
The Daughters of Liberty are also linked to Agatha's history in the original Marvel Comics. On the page, Agatha is a more neutral character than she is in the MCU, and that includes her history with Marvel's version of Girls. Instead of deleting them as he intended Agatha Along Episode 4, Agatha helped train these women in the arts of witchcraft and sorcery, while leading them into the present day as an ongoing society of women who have protected the world for generations.
In comics, modern Girls are Misty Knight, Echo, Shuri, White Tiger, Spider-Woman, Black Widow, and more. Likewise, Peggy Carter leads Girls as “The Dryad” (Harriet Tubaman was the previous Dryad). So it's a pretty cool easter egg, even if the MCU has a very different experience with Agatha's Daughters of Liberty.
