When you begin playing the Last Faith, you get to pick one of the four available classes in the game. Each class has its strengths, and the one you choose depends on how you like to play. However, a couple of them really shine compared to the others.

4 Rogue

The Rogue class is all about up-close combat, focusing on melee attacks. It has a decent HP and the highest Dexterity level among the four classes. Dexterity mainly boosts the damage of light weapons, and there are a few weapon options in the game that scale with this stat. If you’re new to the game, we don’t recommend starting with this class, as it may take some time to master and forms the foundation of a Dexterity build.

Interestingly, Dexterity doesn’t affect many other aspects of the game except for a few resistances, so its primary role is to increase damage with Dexterity weapons. If you enjoy using light weapons and a fast attack pattern, the Rogue class is an excellent choice for your first playthrough.

3 Marksman

As the name suggests, the Marksman class focuses on using ranged weapons like pistols and bows. If you prefer attacking from afar and keeping a distance from enemies, this class is perfect for you. It boosts the highest Instinct level, which increases the damage of all ranged weapons and expands your Fate pool for using Stigmas more often. The Marksman also has a decent HP pool, allowing you to endure damage.

While this might sound great, keep in mind that ammo isn’t unlimited. You’ll need to collect it as you progress through the game, so relying solely on ranged weapons isn’t an option. It’s essential to have a melee weapon as a backup when you run out of ammo. This class is good overall, especially if you can master ranged combat and enjoy using guns, similar to the gameplay style in Bloodborne.

2 Stargazer

The Stargazer is the mage class in this game, boasting the highest Mind stats that enhance your mana pool. This allows you to use spells more frequently. It’s a magical ranged playstyle, focusing on weakening enemies with spells before delivering the final blow up close. Interestingly, even though you choose this class, you won’t start with a spell like in most Souls games. Instead, you’ll have the opportunity to acquire a few spells early on.
