'American Pie' Star Hopes Kids Won't Watch 'Til They Go to College'

One of the problems with starring in a dirty teen comedy when you're a kid is that you have to deal with the fact that one day your kids might watch the movie too. American Pie Star actress Alyson Hannigan is now learning this the hard way.

Hannigan now has two daughters, Satyana, 15, and Kiev, 12. Buffy the Vampire Slayer supporting actor and his wife of 20 years, Alexis Denisof. And while the 50-year-old singer is thrilled that Taylor Swift lent her name to her cult film “So High School,” she's also not thrilled to be a part of the singer's 2024 album Tortured Poets Departmentglad his kids aren't interested in watching it yet.

“There was a time when they were in primary school when they both wanted to see the things we were seeing, like Buffy or whatever, and they were still very young,” Hannigan said We Weekly This week we're introducing a new partnership with Kevin's Natural Foods.

She explained that the couple wanted to wait until the girls were older to see her work, but thought it would be okay to let them watch the 1987 music video for George Harrison's “Got My Mind Set On You” starring Denisof. However, this did not go over well with their daughters.

“I accidentally traumatized them by showing them a video my husband made when he was 17,” she recalled. “He's a little teenager. He's so cute, but [his character is] “They were trying to get this girl's attention at the arcade. And while they were watching, they didn't like seeing their dad – even though she was a young girl, nothing like her current self – flirting with someone else.”
