In August 2014, a five-year-old with bold red hair went viral for her enthusiasm for the word “apparently” after being interviewed by local news at a Pennsylvania fair. And a decade later, Noah Ritter, now 15, is looking back on his brief journey to fame.
By talking WNEP-TV Noah reenacted one of the famous lines from the clip, again at the Wayne County Fair, with his grandfather Jack by his side during the 2014 interview. “And apparently, I've never been on live television before. My grandfather gives me the remote every time we watch Powerball,” he joked
“It feels pretty good, it feels nostalgic,” Noah said when asked how he felt saying that line years later. “It reminds me of being here, in this exact spot, 10 years ago.”
“I wouldn't trade my friend for the world,” he said, naming his grandfather, who was “deeply involved” in Noah's upbringing and accompanied him through the media blitz that followed. Noah has taken a step back from Hollywood these days, but continues to share his adventures with his grandfather online. “It keeps me young. Well, we go to the movies all the time,” Jack said.
“Whenever a new movie comes out, we like to review it, put it on my YouTube Channel,” Noah continued. “Now I'm juggling YouTube, school, soccer, track, and a bunch of other stuff. I'm going into sophomore year. I'm getting ready to drive.”
“Coming here, enjoying the rides, enjoying the food, seeing all the animals and things like that,” he added of going to the fair every year with his grandfather, who has been attending the fair since he was a kid. “Look, I think I'll come here every year, whenever the fair is. I think I'll continue that streak.”
And the reporter who first interviewed him, Sofia Ojeda, is now working as a news anchor KPRC-TV Houston also celebrated the momentous occasion on social media.
