Applebee's 'All You Want' Deal Leads to Arrest

Applebee's All You Can Eat meal deal is a great way to eat as much as you want for a great price—just make sure you don't share your meal with anyone you're with. One Applebee's customer recently learned this lesson the hard way.

Accordingly Todaypolice arrested a 28-year-old woman at an Applebee's in Portage, Indiana, following a confrontation between a customer and restaurant staff over the rules of the All You Can Eat deal. A police report stated that they were called for “verbal harassment” after “multiple women were screaming” and “threatening people” in the restaurant.

When police arrived on scene, they found three adults and “several juveniles,” including the woman who was later arrested. One of the diners told police they were led to believe that Applebee's All You Can Eat deal was for the entire table if only one person ordered. An argument ensued when the manager told them that each person would have to pay $15.99 for their own meal deal and gave them an updated check reflecting the required payment.

This led to the 28-year-old woman becoming “shouting and disorderly” and being warned by officers that she could be arrested twice for disorderly conduct. She was eventually arrested, handcuffed and taken to the local jail.

Eventually, his mates realized that the meal deal was per person, not per table, and one of them had to go in and pay the full bill.

Applebee's reintroduced its All You Can Eat boneless wings, ribs, and double crispy shrimp deal earlier this summer. It's available for a limited time, but keep in mind that the $15.99 price is for one person only.
