Cast Coast Guard They reunited for the Los Angeles premiere of ABC News Studios' new docuseries. After Baywatch: Moment in the SunAnd although many of the cast members from the 11-season-long TV series Lifeguard were present at the premiere, the absence of two of its most famous stars was noticeable.
The four-part documentary is described as “a nostalgic and insightful exploration of an era-defining cultural phenomenon and a unique look at the stars who brought the world's most famous lifeguards to life.” The docuseries will feature dozens of new cast interviews and never-before-seen footage to reveal “how the series captured the mythology of California's beach culture, set standards of physical beauty for an entire generation and capitalized on the adage 'sex sells.'”
Celebrities attending the gala included Carmen Electra, Nicole Eggert, Alexandra Paul, Jeremy Jackson, Brandy Ledford, David Chokachi, Brande Roderick, Traci Bingham, Jaason Simmons, Erika Eleniak, Michael Bergin, Nancy Valen and Michael Newman.
However, Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff, who portray lifeguards CJ Parker and Mitch Buchannon, respectively, did not attend the ceremony.
Eggert, who played Summer Quinn in seasons 3 and 4 Coast GuardShe attended the gala with her head shaved after being diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer late last year.
The 52-year-old actor, who also produced the documentary series, said, “I'm fine.” People “I'm kind of in a gray area and I'm done with treatment, waiting for more imaging and hopefully maybe surgery.”
While Anderson, 57, declined to do any interviews for the series, she did take part in a never-before-seen interview that can be seen in the trailer below. “I'm really proud of everything I've done—almost,” the famous blonde said with a chuckle.
