'Black Mirror' Reveals Season 7 Cast and First 'Sequel' Episode

Charlie Brooker's dystopian anthology series Black Mirror Returning for a seventh season on Netflix in 2025, the upcoming season's star cast has now been announced. The groundbreaking series also serves as the first sequel to the fourth season episode “USS Callister.”

Per Hollywood ReporterThe extended synopsis for the new season reads: “Charlie Brooker's dark, satirical anthology series will return in 2025 with six new episodes, including a sequel to his sci-fi adventure series 'USS Callister.'”

The new cast will include Awkwafina, Peter Capaldi, Emma Corrin, Paul Giamatti, Rashida Jones, Chris O'Dowd, Issa Rae, and Tracee Ellis Ross, all in unknown roles. Black Mirror debuts also featured Spanish-English actress Patsy Ferran, Scottish actor Lewis Gribben (Blade Edge 2099), Paul G. Raymond (Deadpool and Wolverine), and British actresses Siena Kelly, Rosy McEwen and Harriet Walter (Inheritance).

Likewise, Cristin Milioti, Jimmi Simpson, Billy Magnussen and British actors Osy Ikhile and Milanka Brooks are also expected to reprise their roles in the “USS Callister” sequel.

“We're picking up where we left off in the story. And there are also some new characters,” Brooker added. “There's new things to do between where they are now and where they were.”

The plot of both the sequel and the other five new episodes are being kept tightly under wraps, along with an expected release date, but the new episodes will be released sometime in 2025.
