Saturday Night Live has seen many memorable presenters in its half-century history, but they are generally remembered for their on-screen hijinks. But one presenter in particular managed to etch an unfortunate image into the minds of several cast members for his off-screen behaviour.
Bowen Yang revealed the behind-the-scenes incident in a speech Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Sunday night. Yang was asked the worst question during a game of “Truth or Kink” SNL Behaviors witnessed by the presenter during his time on the program.
“This man, this person, this host made many players cry before the table read on Wednesday because he hated the ideas,” Yang explained. The 33-year-old host did not name the celebrity who hosted, leading some to wonder who the abusive person was.
Fire Culturalists co-host Matt Rogers weighed in on the situation. “He's got new PR and everything,” Rogers joked.
Yang joined first Saturday Night Live In 2018, he was promoted to a cast member and quickly secured his place on the roster. Since then, he has appeared in films such as: Fire Island and shows that Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, The SimpsonsAnd Dreams.
This fall, Yang will star in what is arguably his biggest film role yet, starring alongside Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo in the highly anticipated film adaptation. Bad.
