According to statements from the showrunner, there were plans to continue the show if it was renewed, and the decision to change the end of season 1 to go off-book showed that there were bigger ideas. Unfortunately, these plans will probably not materialize and there is little chance that it will be retained by another broadcaster or network. Hulu has canceled multiple shows in early 2024 (Death and Other Details, How I Met This Stupid, Great, Father of Yours etc.) and the broadcaster is clearly trying to create some sort of parity at a time when the TV industry is leveling.

Sinclair Daniels and Ashleigh Murray would almost certainly reprise their roles as Nella and Hazel-May.especially since the chemistry between the two actors — both when their characters are in sync and when they're at odds — is a highlight of the show.

But Daniels and Murray are far from the only names Another Black Girl cast memberand most of the rest of the ensemble cast could return because there were no shocking character deaths.
