New York City restaurant influencer Taylor Swift drops her 11th studio album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” on Friday at 12 a.m., and Swifties across the city are preparing to gather in celebration.
The hashtag #ttpd is blowing up on TikTok and Instagram, with fans sharing their anticipation, routines preparing for the album drop, and even elaborate listening party decoration tips (they involved taper candles and velvet ribbons).
Here are four events happening around the city this weekend if you are inspired to join in.
Two late-night Thursday listening parties
On Thursday, The Bowery Electric is hosting a dance floor listening party with giveaways, fan-designed TTPD merch, photo backdrops, and more. They plan to stream the album at midnight, though who knows if any early leaks might make their way to the D.J.
“It’s gonna be an event full of Taylor Swift fans from New York coming together to listen to the album and have a good time,” said organizer Daniel Aguirre.
Doors open at 10:30 p.m. and tickets are available for around $18 here.
Also Thursday night , Pianos on the Lower East Side is holding a late-night listening party with the album streaming at midnight. There will be Taylor-themed cocktails, and drag queen performances.Sharing friendship bracelets is “highly encouraged.”

Taylor-themed karaoke on Friday
On Friday, Offside, a bar in Alphabet City, is hosting a 21+ Taylor Swift karaoke night from 6 p.m. until midnight, with a Taylor-themed dance party kicking off in their back room after 9 p.m.

Swiftie nightclub takeover on Saturday
On Saturday, the bi-level Lower East Side bar and nightclub The Delancey is hosting a listening party starting at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
