If you're wondering what sets Citizen apart from other three- and four-figure watch companies, it comes down to proprietary technology. There are few places to see better than the two new Eco-Drive satellites in the Japanese watch brand's Attesa series, the GPS*1 F950 model.
For Citizen, the Attesa range is where it showcases its cutting-edge technologies, which include everything from surface hardening technology that treats solid titanium to the use of natural or artificial light sources that eliminate the need to change batteries. It even includes the fastest satellite signal reception in the world for an analog light-powered GPS satellite wave clock. All these innovations and more can be seen in these last two F950 models.

The two new watches, the CC4059-64L and CC4074-61W, both feature stylish cases with the city's initials engraved on the bezels around them. With its blue-purple stripes and sapphire bezel, the CC4059-64L brings to mind outer space (or the classic pinstripe suit), while the letters surrounding the bezel shine in a reflective silver. However, the CC4074-61W uses rose-gold for the same initials, while the dial itself is shimmering black.
Both the watches' cases and bracelets are made from Super Titanium, the aforementioned proprietary surface hardening technology used to machine solid titanium. The brand states that it is “at least five times harder than stainless steel, resistant to scratches, lightweight and gentle on the skin for comfortable use.”
Meanwhile, Citizen's F950 movement is known as the ultimate when it comes to light-activated Eco-Drive satellite wave GPS watches. They can receive tuning signals in just three seconds and can receive signals from satellites orbiting the Earth wherever you are.
It is worth noting that both watches are offered in a large size with a diameter of 44.6 mm and a thickness of 16.0 mm. Both cost $2,195.
