Creative director of Carolina Herrera talks through new collection at Dubai Fashion Week

DUBAI: French Tunisian actress Sonia Ben Ammar took to social media to promote a scent by Italian luxury label Bulgari.

In a carousel of photos shared on Instagram, the model-actress is seen posing with a bottle of the brand’s Omnia Coral perfume, which now comes in a newly designed bottle.

“My favorite @bulgari Omnia Coral scent in a stunning new design. With its signature sunny essence, it’s a staple in my collection this season,” Ammar captioned the post, which was part of an advertising deal with Bulgari.

Omnia Coral first hit the international market in spring 2012 and was created by perfumer Alberto Morillas, who designed previous Bulgari fragrances, including Omnia, Omnia Amethyste, Omnia Crystalline, and Omnia Green Jade.

The scent’s top notes are bergamot and goji berries, its middle notes are pomegranate, hibiscus and water lily, while the base notes are musk and Virginia cedar.

Ammar, 24, made her Hollywood debut in the fifth instalment of the “Scream” franchise, which hit theaters in 2022.

With French Tunisian heritage, Ben Ammar was the first Arab main character in a “Scream” film.

“I’m just really happy to be a part of it and represent my roots and I’m excited for people to watch it,” Ben Ammar previously told Arab News.

Although “Scream” marked Ben Ammar’s first high-profile Hollywood gig, it was not the Paris-born actress’ first foray into the film industry.

Ben Ammar, who is the daughter of Tunisian film director Tarek Ben Ammar — the executive producer of “The Equalizer 3” — and Polish-born actress Beata, previously starred in Guillaume Canet’s French-language film “Jappeloup,” as well as the stage musical “1789: Les Amants de la Bastille.”

Ammar went on to star in 2023’s “The Equalizer 3,” alongside lead stars Denzel Washington and Dakota Fanning. Ben Ammar, who plays a character called Chiara, joined a cast that included actors Eugenio Mastrandrea, Remo Girone, Daniele Perrone, Andrea Scarduzio, Andrea Dodero and Gaia Scodellaro.

Before following in the footsteps of her parents, the multi-hyphenate made headway in the fashion world as a model, fronting campaigns for the likes of Dolce & Gabbana, Miu Miu and Chanel.
