“Ladies and gentlemen, yes, I have emphysema from many years of smoking. I must say that I enjoy smoking very much and I love tobacco – the smell, the lighting of the cigarettes, the smoking of them – but there is a price to pay for that enjoyment, and for me that price is emphysema,” he said. “I have been off smoking for over two years. I have had a lot of tests recently and the good news is that apart from the emphysema I am in excellent shape.”
