Deer Goes Swimming in Family Pool in Viral Video

A New Hampshire homeowner was surprised to see a special guest swimming in her pool on October 3.

According to the statement made by the Bedford Police Department, authorities were called to the house early this morning after a deer was seen in the residential pool. They arrived soon after, around 8:45 a.m. local time, to assess the situation.

Video taken by police shows the crew lifting the pool covering the water and finding a deer underneath. Once discovered, the horned animal made its way to the shallow end of the pool and, like a child being told play time was over, crawled out and began running towards the trees next to the house.

Luckily, no people or animals were harmed in the operation, according to Bedford police Chief Daniel Douidi. Still, that doesn't mean you should confront yourself if you find one of these animals on your property.

“I want to remind residents that deer can be very dangerous animals due to their size, and we appreciate the residents calling us this morning to assist with this situation,” Douidi said. he said. “We are pleased that no people or animals were harmed in this incident.”

If you find yourself in one of these animals' ways at home, it's probably best to leave removal efforts to professionals.
