Demi Moore Gives Update on Bruce Willis Amid Dementia Battle

Demi Moore has spoken out once again about the health of her ex-husband Bruce Willis, who was diagnosed with the neurocognitive disorder frontotemporal dementia early last year. In addition to sharing three adult daughters together, Moore has remained a close part of the 69-year-old actor's family unit, including his second wife of 15 years, Emma Heming Willis.

During an appearance on Friday's episode The Drew Barrymore Show to promote the new horror movie ArticleMoore reunited with him Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle The supporting actor shares his memories of Willis.

“When we do this Charlie's Angels“Bruce came in and acted in the movie, he opened the movie, and we got the opportunity to work with him,” host Drew Barrymore recalls. Entertainment WeeklyWillis appeared in an uncredited role as Justice Department official William Rose Bailey in the 2003 action comedy. “I mean, I knew him when he was a bartender at Cafe Central! I've known him my whole life.”

When asked how she’s doing now, Moore gave a hopeful response, which is to be expected, all things considered. “Given everything, she’s in a stable place,” she shared.

“What I tell my kids is you have to meet them where they are,” Moore continued. “You hold on to who they are right now, not who they were or what you want them to be. And from that comes such beauty and joy and love and sweetness.”

The 61-year-old also revealed that she makes it a point to visit her ex as often as possible. “I go to see him every week when he’s in LA and I really value the time we all share,” she added.

Moore's latest update echoes comments she made in a conversation with Andy Cohen earlier this year Radio Andy SiriusXM show. Back then, Cohen asked Moore what he would say to people who have family members living with dementia.

“When you let go of who they are or who you think they are, [should be]”Or whoever you want them to be, then you can really stay in the present and experience the joy and the love that's there, with everything they are, not everything they're not,” she said in an interview in January.

Whatever you call it, for an actor who spent the bulk of his career as a tough action hero, Willis is certainly lucky to have been surrounded by such strong and caring women in ailing health.
