Emily in Paris is another Netflix series that follows the streamer's somewhat new release strategy for popular shows. such as projects Stranger Things and you before that, Emily in Paris Season 4 is split into two parts, with the second being released almost a month after the first. While the series' episodes aren't long enough to warrant a split, the strategy mostly works Emily in Paris Season 4 – Part 1 has the perfect cutoff point to set up a lot of discussion in the month it takes for Part 2 to arrive.

Emily in Paris Season 4 – Part 1 hinges heavily on the events of Season 3's bombshell finale. In the end Emily in Paris In season 3, Camille blew up her and Gabriel's wedding by revealing her feelings for Emily and vice versa in front of all the guests. Camille tells everyone that she broke the pact she made with Emily not to see Gabriel, and later broke it. At the end of the episode, Alfie leaves, completely distraught by the revelation, and Gabriel tells Emily that she's pregnant with Camille's child.

Season 4 promises romance and intrigue

Emily in Paris it's always been about romance and passion and how timing and circumstances have to align for things to last. Season 4 – Part 1 helps diversify the first five episodes with plenty of other funny situations and expected dramatic revelations. The events of the season 3 finale affect every major character at the start of season 4, leading to candid conversations and the testing of many relationships.

The series' writing remains as sharp as ever, with the cast's incredible chemistry creating tension that permeates every episode of Part 1.

The season 3 finale cleared the way for Gabriel and Emily to get together, but things aren't that simple. Lucien Laviscount's Alfie is still very much a part of the show, and Lily Collins' character must understand both Alfie and Lucas Bravo's heart and love for Gabriel. The latter also has to deal with Camille's decision to completely change plans, his feelings for Emily and the thought of becoming a father while chasing a Michelin star for his restaurant.

It was interesting to see how these characters grew throughout the series as they dealt with a wide variety of situations. Season 4 hasn't been smooth sailing for Emily Cooper, to say the least. The series' writing remains as sharp as ever, with the cast's incredible chemistry creating tension that permeates every episode of Part 1.

In Paris, Emily Continues to Bring Many Surprises

It is very clear that season 4 is just beginning. Acting as a bridge between the multiple shocks of the season 3 finale and the more intense season 4 finale, Part 1 does a lot of heavy lifting for what's to come — if the dominoes all fall into place. Collins remains delightful as the titular character, who now feels more at home in Paris.

Camille is an interesting character to watch in season 4, some of her choices are bound to make a big splash in season 2.

Bravo's Gabriel is under a lot of stress as he focuses on getting a Michelin star, but everything changes when he gets together with Emily, who helps him achieve his goal. The two characters have my favorite interactions of season 4 so far, bringing up their shared history from the first three seasons. Alfie and Emily also share some pretty candid and funny moments, giving Emily a constant headache about choosing between her and Gabriel.

Camille is an interesting character to watch in season 4, some of her choices will make a big splash in season 2. The Agence Grateau team continues to deliver both funny moments – Luc is at the top of his game – and dramatic moments as both Sylvie and Julien have to adapt to old and new scenarios respectively. Although part 1 does not deviate from the classic Emily in Paris formula, this is a fun watch that will leave you wanting more.
