Festivals are seasonal events where the townies all get together to celebrate. They happen twice a month in-game, and are completely optional.

You’ll get a letter the day before the festival starts and a message when you wake up on the festival day, but no other reminders.

Keep an eye on your clock and enjoy the festivals!

Going to events increase your friendship with the townies and provides you with merit, which will help you raise your town rank. While there’s no penalty for missing the festival, the townies will comment on your absence.
