Thorfinn
Thor Dies From Lightning Strike
Dean Chandler Long's Thor died from being struck by lightning In 1007. Although it wasn't his proudest moment, Thor was sensitive to the situation as he was wearing a metal helmet during the storm that killed him. In all fairness to the 1,000-year-old Viking, Thor did not equip himself to survive independently. His Viking crew abandoned him for unknown reasons in what became North America, leaving Thorfinn vulnerable to the elements.
While Thor survived for a time on Earth, he eventually died at Woodstone. As a 1,000-year-old Viking, Thor is one of the oldest spirits the estate has yet to reach. “it got cold.” While Thor was still alive on the estate, he befriended a squirrel named “Oscar” Thor has had nightmares about killing for years. Although he is one of the oldest ghosts in the estate, Thor's unique soul trait sets him apart from the more recently deceased.
Sasappis
Sasappis died in the 1500s
The death of Sasappis is the only known death to have occurred Nightmares season 4. The novel Zaragoza's Sasappis refers to the Lenape, an indigenous people of the Northeast Woodlands who lived in New York Bay, western Long Island, and the lower Hudson Valley of New York State before European contact. Sasappis died in the early 1500sthat is, there was a possibility of his death coming into contact with Europe.
The Lenapelians first recorded contact with Europeans in 1524. While the Sasappis and their compatriots, the Shiki, were native to the region when they died, the Lenape were displaced from their land by the American Revolutionary War. Indian resettlement policies further oppressed the Lenape in the 1860s. Although Sasappis' cause of death is unknown, his psychic power is that he can enter people's dreams and communicate with them in their unconscious state.
Isaac Higgintoot
Isaac died of dysentery
Brandon Scott Jones' Isaac Higgintoot was an American soldier during the Revolutionary War. In the late 1700s, Isaac fought in the war until he died of dysentery on the property. Isaac's death is a recurring joke because the character had a general disregard for clean eating, drinking, and hygiene.
Sam is writing a book about the historical role of Isaac Higgintut during the Revolutionary War.
Forgotten in modern times and even in his own time, Isaac was a Founding Father whose most notable achievement was negotiating the surrender of Fort Ticonderoga. The character also created a long-range musket called “Eyebrow.” Because Isaac died of an intestinal disease, when creatures pass through him, he gives off a horrible gastrointestinal stench.
Hetty Woodstone
Hetty died of suffocation
The lady of the house died at Woodstone Mansion in the late 1800s Hetty strangled herself with a telephone cord. Rebecca Wisocky's Hetty was living in the mansion when her husband mysteriously disappeared and had to answer for all his crimes. Faced with the choice of being accused of her husband's crimes and losing her fortune, Hetty took the cord from the rare Woodstone family telephone and used it to take her own life.
Hetty then revealed to Isaac and Sam that she was keeping his fortune to save her son Thomas. Hetty admits that she regrets her decision and that she made a mistake. Although Thomas was able to live on the Woodstone fortune, Hetty was well aware that Thomas never had a mother, and this hindered her in other ways.
Alberta Haynes
Alberta Poisoned
Thomas Woodstone killed Alberta Hines At Woodstone Mansion in the 1920s. Danielle Pinnock's Alberta was an up-and-coming jazz singer of the decade who performed at the Woodstone Mansion the night she was murdered. At the time, Alberta was on the run with a smuggler she was with on the night she died. Her smuggler boyfriend was dating Thomas Woodstone, who left a poisoned bottle of moonshine outside Alberta's dressing room. Alberta died while taking some potions and became a ghost, but she didn't know how she died for years.

Nightmares
Season 2, episode 21, “Whodunnit.”
At first it was unclear who killed Alberta. Potential suspects included her smuggler boyfriend, a rival, and even her sister. Budding journalist Sam investigated Alberta's death in a podcast about the jazz singer, which he started with Alberta superfan Todd Pearlman, who came to the Woodstone B&B to investigate the singer's death. When Todd samples a bottle of moonshine from Alberta's belongings, he discovers that someone has poisoned Alberta. When the cohort investigates further, Hetty reveals that she saw her son Thomas kill Alberta because she was having an affair with her trafficker lover.
Flower
The bear attacked the flower
Sheila Carrasco's Susan “Flower” Montero died after a bear attacked her on the property. In 1969, Cicek entered the property while attending a music festival. A hippie and a product of his time, Flower was high on mushrooms when he died, and drugs played a major role in his death.
When Flower encountered a bear on the property while scouting with her partner Ira, her compromised state clouded her judgment and she attempted to hug the giant creature. Uninterested in her cheerful gesture, the bear killed and ate Flower, leaving her trapped as the spirit of the estate. Because Flower takes hallucinogenic drugs while dying, she gets stoned and produces a 30-60 minute high when passing through living people.
Pete Martino
The Little Girl Shot Pete in the Neck
Richie Moriarty's Peter “Pete” Martino died accidentally in 1985. Scout troop leader, Pete died when a girl in his soldier accidentally shot him in the neck with an arrow. Pete's scout troop used the grassy lawn at Woodstone Estate to practice their archery skills, and Pete was haunted by the estate after his death.
On the day Pete was killed, he had an argument with his wife, Carol, which caused him to become reckless and shoot his troops before the security demonstration was over.
However, Pete is the only ghost in the CBS series that can leave the property. Pete realized this was his ghost power at the end of Ghosts season 3. While Pete has an unfortunate death and “itchy” an arrow sticking out of his neck makes his afterlife even more disturbing, with Pete having one of the most interesting fates since he was able to leave the estate.
Trevor Lefkowitz
Trevor died of an overdose
Asher Grodman's Trevor died of a heart attack on the property after consuming alcohol and prescription pills. Trevor was at the mansion for the weekend in 2000 and had fun trading the stock market “brothers” when they decide to engage in a dangerous recreational drug game where they take off-label prescription drugs recreationally. When Trevor's cocktail of pills ended fatallyhis friends dumped his body in a lake on their property.
Although many of the spirits that live in the Woodstone Mansion have no connection to the estate, Trevor knew David Woodstone, Sam's uncle and one of the people who worked at Trevor's firm. While Trevor has every reason to feel bitter that his friends disposed of his body rather than call 911 while there was still time, he holds no grudges and instead remembers his final moments at Woodstone fondly.

Supporting Ghosts' Deaths
- Nigel – Nigel Chessum (John Hartman) dies at what would become the Woodstone Estate after being shot by American soldier Isaac Higgintute. Isaac equipped him with a rifle that allowed him to see into the distance, and he used his gadget to look at British soldiers during Isaac and Nigel's time, who were on opposite sides of the war. When Isaac sneezed, he accidentally pulled the trigger of the firearm and killed his desired British enemy.
- Nancy – Nancy (Betsy Sodaro) is one of many plague ghosts. Nancy and other cholera ghosts likely died out in the early to mid-1800s, as the peak of the cholera pandemic was from the 1830s to the 1860s. Nancy and the other plague ghosts died on the property after being locked in the pest house, otherwise known as the plague house, a refuge for those infected with infectious or contagious diseases and burned alive.
- Ilyas – Elias Woodstone (Matt Walsh) drowned in a secret vault he built in the basement of the Woodstone mansion while Hetty was on vacation in the late 1800s.
- Accident – Someone killed Crash in Woodstone in the 1950s. An accident can decapitate, meaning that a ghost's decapitation will cause it to die a gruesome death. Although an unfortunate death at the time, Crash's death also plays into his later life in an ominous way, as Crash's head can pop off and others can enter his soul and displace his most precious limb.
- Stephanie– Stephanie (Odessa A'Zion) is a teenage ghost who died on her estate in 1987. Stephanie and her boyfriend Tad were on their honeymoon at Woodstone Manor when they encountered a serial killer. As Stephanie and Tad argue, they hear about a killer on the run on the radio, but ignore the threat. So the killer came upon the lovers and cut Stephanie with a chain, as evidenced by the large gash on her back. .
- Carol – Carol Martino, Pete's widow, drowned in a donut hole on her property. Sam and Jay initially mistakenly invited Carol to Woodstone, but now she's close to the group.
