First Look At Spider-Man vs. Sandman No Way Home Lego Set Appears Online

‘Tis the season for elaborate, fairly expensive Marvel Lego sets, or at least that’s how it feels. Amazon slashed the price of Marvel’s Daily Bugle Lego set for Black Friday, and it was that very same weekend the 5,000-piece, $500 Avengers Tower went on sale. Now it seems another, perhaps not quite as intimidating Marvel Lego set is on the way, but probably not quite in time for the holidays. A Spider-Man vs. Sandman set that lets you recreate the final battle from No Way Home using toy bricks.

If you’re as into Marvel Lego as I am, I can hear what you’re likely saying right now. That there’s already a Lego set that recreates the epic conclusion of the latest Spidey movie. You’re right, there is, but this one’s a little different. Judging by the first images of the set that found their way online over the weekend, it’s quite a lot different. For starters, and I hadn’t noticed this until I checked this morning, Sandman isn’t even included in the Final Battle set currently on sale.

Lego probably had plans for its new Spider-Man vs. Sandman set when the Final Battle one was released. Flint Marko is more than a Minifigure in this upcoming set, though. You’ll have to build the villain, although the part of the box revealing how many pieces this set will consist of is obscured from view. A Lizard Minifigure appears to be a part of the set too, another villain who was omitted from the Final Battle set without explanation.

Also included are the same Tom Holland Spidey and Electro Minifigures included with the Final Battle set. That’ll mean doubling up if you already own the prior set. It’s a shame that there isn’t also a Sandman Minifigure in there, although since the villain is effectively the entire set in this instance, we can probably let that slide.

Lego has been a big deal for decades, but it feels like its spotlight is particularly bright right now thanks to Fortnite. The battle royale’s Lego mode, which had been teased for months, is finally here and even better than anyone could have imagined. Hundreds of Fortnite characters have been given Lego makeovers in-game – and they can use all the emotes. Gamers have quickly been pulling off some incredible feats too as someone built a functioning airship within days of the mode going live.
