On Thursday, the old Saturday Night Live Cast member Victoria Jackson has shared a tragic update on her battle with cancer.
Jackson appeared SNL From 1986 to 1992, she was known for her “Weekend Update” appearances and her exact impersonations of Roseanne Barr. Since leaving the show, Jackson has appeared mostly in single-episode arcs on the following shows: X-Files And Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
Jackson is now known for his outspoken, divisive political views and social media presence; on August 14, he released the 11th installment of his “Cancer Is Back?” video series. In the eight-minute clip, Jackson told his followers that after much consideration, doctors “cannot operate and cut the marble that sits in my chest above my trachea and end up suffocating me to death.”
Jackson revealed that his doctors have prescribed him a “magic pill” that he will soon start taking. He said the drug, called ribociclib, will “hopefully shrink marbles.” Those taking ribociclib “have 32.6 months to live. Something like that,” the comedian added. But Jackson told his followers in the caption of the post: “I have 34.8 months to live.”
Despite the tragic circumstances, Jackson claims to have had a “wonderful life” and has no regrets. He also has a few milestones he's still looking forward to experiencing. “I want my grandson to be born in October – his name is Jimmy – and I want to get to know him a little bit. And I want my daughter Aubrey to have a baby,” he told fans.
In a video posted on August 1, Jackson told his followers that he was investigating to determine “if the marble they found in my lung is cancer.” The caption of that post confirmed the heartbreaking news. “It's cancer! I'm back from 9 years ago!” the caption read.
