I Don’t Know What Fortnite Is Anymore

I used to play Fortnite every day. Now when I occasionally jump back in, I don’t really know what I’m looking at anymore.

The trailer starts off by giving us a glimpse at the new map for Chapter 5, Season 1, which is adding a train to The Island that can apparently be taken over by players. We also see a bit of the story elements, as Jonesy has made a comeback with a much more grizzled look than before. Looks like all that time in The Loop has got to him a little.

The trailer then reveals that the theme for this season of Fortnite is “Underground”, which makes sense with the addition of trains. We then get to see all of the new gameplay elements that are being added to the game, including the aforementioned ability to “capture the train”, some new weapons like a riot shield that can be used to charge forward, and weapon mods that seemingly let players customise their weapons with sights and a variety of other options.
