Aldis Hodge is the third actor to bring Alex Cross to the screen, but he says Prime Video's upcoming film the cross the show will give fans a different take on James Patterson's forensic psychologist. Based on the best-selling crime novel series, Morgan Freeman was the first actor to star in the 1997 film adaptation. Kiss the girls and 2001 years A Spider came. Tyler Perry later replaced Freeman as the lead in 2012 Alex Cross. Meanwhile, Hodge's the cross Season 1 is scheduled to begin airing on November 14th, with Season 2 already confirmed before airing.
chat with Screen Rant at this year's New York Comic-Con, Hodge talked about how his character will differ from Freeman's and Perry's versions. Hodge explained that the episodic television format allows the cross fully exploring the different aspects of his character, from his detective work to his family life and role as a father. His character's “potential is never fully exhausted,” says that the ever-evolving nature of the show keeps her interested and happy in the role. Check out his comments below:
I think that for me I see the execution of the Cross as only one element, which is the vast fullness of his whole world, if we examine it. We will see the police, and not only that, but also the father, the head of the family, and the friend. We meet a sensitive person who doesn't have all the answers and is still trying to learn. I get to play a very large-scale entity that makes a mistake here and there, on purpose, but it starts to be honest, and that's what I love the most.
So the fact that we can explore that episode by episode means that the potential is never fully exhausted. We have different levels. Every episode, every season, there's more potential for me and we keep meeting it and beating it. So, as an artist, it interests me and keeps me full. It makes me happy and, frankly, very happy.
