Zach Braff has emerged People he and his Aprons Lead actor Donald Faison said they were “like a married couple.”
Braff and Faison worked together for nine seasons on the NBC medical comedy series and have maintained a close friendship and business partnership since the series ended in 2010. Braff appeared in one episode of Faison's sequel sitcom. Ex-lovers; and most recently, the duo reunited opposite Jason Momoa in a series of humorous T-Mobile commercials.
“We’re just so close,” said Braff, who is godfather to Faison’s two children. The Garden State actor said the secret to their long-term friendship is “communicating, like in any relationship, and not letting the little things get in the way.”
Braff joked that he and Faison's relationship is more like a “married couple” than anything else. “We get mad at each other and we get it off our back,” he explained. “Sometimes I want to kill him, but then I realize I can't leave him and we love each other.”
Back in March, Faison revealed the origin story of the duo's friendship on a show The Kelly Clarkson Show.
“The first time I met him was at a dinner table. Aprons“And we talked for a bit, and I was like, 'Wow, we have the same sense of humor.' And after the first season ended, we both went to New York,” Faison recalled, adding that she and Braff decided to get an apartment together for the summer while working on separate shows.
Faison continued: “I realized he was my best friend when we were playing ping pong in our underwear in the living room. I was like, 'You're my best friend! Look at us!'”
Braff currently stars opposite Vince Vaughn in the Apple TV+ series Bad Monkey.
