What Time Tracker Season 2 Episode 1 Releases on CBS
Following the success of the first season of CBS' new show Tracker, season 2 will premiere on Sunday, October 13, 2024, in a new time slot.
Screen Rant Interviews about Renee's effect of Teddy's absence on the team, what's next for Reenie after she leaves the law firm, and why she feels romance between her character and Colter. Follower season 2.
Tracker Season 2 will see Reenie find her identity outside of Colter and the Old Law Firm
“You're going to see him on the field a little more, you're going to see him in his office a little more. You're going to see him a little more, period.”
Screen Rant: Season 1 Follower it was clearly a huge success. How do you feel the second season differs from the first while maintaining this high standard that was created?
Fiona Renee: We have more episodes this season, so I feel like we have more room to climb. Honestly, I still miss it. I can't believe we're even here. This has not been resolved yet. We are in the middle of filming season 2. It's just been really exciting and I think people are going to be very pleased. We have many wonderful stories.
We know that unfortunately Teddy won't be in season 2 and that Tracker is really about team dynamics. How do you think this missing mechanism affects the way they approach things?
Fiona Rene: Overall, I feel like the team is getting stronger and closer. Robin Weigert is definitely a star and I love her personally and professionally, but I think it really allowed the characters of Reenie, Velma and Bobby to come together as opposed to the characters of Velma and Teddy being so separate from everyone else. the other two, I think, are necessary because we are developing something and becoming a small family that supports our son. When he left, it would have been really hard to support if we weren't a team, literally together and talking to each other.
Reenie quit her job at the end of season 1, what does that mean for her storyline?
Fiona Renee: I think in the beginning he wants his identity to be somewhat unattached to Colter and unattached to his old job, his old firm. she told him what to do, and she said, “I've had enough. I'm going to open up and tell myself what to do as a woman.”
I think that's what he feels in the back of his mind. And because of that, you'll see him a little alone, but he never gives up on his desire to help Colter. Their friendship really builds over time. You will see him a little more on the field, a little more in his office. You will see him a little more.
Due to the nature of her job, Colter doesn't allow herself to have a romantic partner
“Reenie thinks she feels guilty for always being on the go and never being a good partner.”
We know from season 1 that Reenie and Colter had some sort of physical or romantic relationship in the past. With so much going on off-screen, were you given more details that helped you build that dynamic?
Fiona Renee: Nope. It's interesting how dark the actors are sometimes, and I think they do it on purpose, so they have more room to stretch and grow and play in the writers' room. There are times when they contact us and say, hey, that's what we're thinking, but I think they let us play.
And what I found was that Colter's character is against any kind of long-term relationship because Reenie thinks she feels guilty about always being on the go and never being a good partner to someone, so she keeps herself away. from that dynamic.
I think that no matter how much playful or sexy chemistry Reenie and Colter have, Reenie thinks it just scared her. There is no news here. What's the best way to do that, but to accept someone for who they are and be there for them anyway? I feel like this dynamic made their relationship even stronger.
If the stars ever aligned and Colter wanted to settle down, would Reenie want it?
Fiona Rene: I mean, I love it, but you expect me to live in a trailer? [Laughs] Do you know what I mean? I think there's a lot of love there, but I also think he'll never live on the road. You have two people who are so unapologetic that I can't imagine what that would be like, but who knows?
There's still a lot we don't know about Reenie. Will we learn more about his past in season 2?
Fiona Rene: I think so. It's that they can really delve into the stories of all the other series regulars — you'll get some sprinkles for all three of us throughout the season, and maybe why Colter cares about us. There the doors will open a little.
Rene would like Sterling K. Brown and Shailene Woodley to appear in Tracker.
“My manager and I have been talking non-stop about how to get Sterling K. Brown on this series because he has a history with the This Is Us franchise.”
As Reenie continues to play, is there anything about her that surprises you?
Fiona Rene: Yes, I was very impressed by it. There are days when I really go, “Okay, Fiona, pack it in. Get some Reenie. You can do it.” She's almost been a little role model for me in a lot of ways because I'm in awe of a woman who works so hard and cares so much and can still wake up in the morning and do her hair.
There are women out there who do it, and you're like, “How do you keep it together? Oh my God.” Episode 10, last season, when we got a little insight into her and her relationship with her father and what it's like, “I'll Fish You Under the Table.” And I said, “Oh, okay. Maybe I have a little more of a relationship with him than I thought.”
Follower brings many incredible guest stars. Is there an actor you'd like to see on the show?
Fiona Renee: My manager and I have been talking non-stop about how to get Sterling K. Brown on this series because he has a history with the This Is Us franchise. I met him at a CBS event and he was such a doll, so I said, “We definitely have to bring him.” I also wish Shailene Woodley wasn't missing, but maybe someone she loves is missing. I'd just like to see him do his own thing.
There are many different stories Follower You can tell with these missing person cases. Have a topic you'd like to see explored?
Fiona Rene: It could actually happen. I'm not sure. But I called Elwood, one of our showrunners, because Eric, the actor who plays Bobby, is black and Native, and we were talking a little bit about how cool it would be to lose something on Native land. a little talk about the dynamics of what it would look like legally. How will people be able to get to that reservation area and that property to help search for a missing person? This happened.
In real life, this happened a lot – the disappearance of indigenous women and how it affected the community of indigenous people surrounding the non-indigenous. It might be going a bit too far in the political realm, but I'd like to see how Colter handles it. What I've noticed this season is that they've really come out of the box with very different stories. Last season we had a horse episode. They really have the will to think outside the box. I can't wait for people to watch season 2 episode 2. I can't wait.
What would you consider the most lively episode you've done so far?
Fiona Renee: When we first started filming, 2×02 really blew me away because we get to know a little bit more about the Colter side and the Russell side and the space side, but personally, 2×04 for Reenie.
