Family Chantel star Pedro Jimeno sometimes gets a bad rap, but I personally believe that he is not completely erased as a person – and I will tell you why.. To be honest, I wrote negative posts about Pedro, but I tried to consider his side as well. I really tried. That's why I often argued.
For example, I could clearly see Pedro messing with Chantel Everett before she left him. What I wasn't quite sure about was whether or not she always planned to leave him. Because I had these questions, my work fluctuated between positive and negative. I would write him off as a villain and believe what I wrote – but sometimes doubts crept in. Sometimes I felt bad about the things I wrote, even though they were probably true or partly true.
Was Pedro really rotten to the core?
Maybe he didn't plan to hurt Chantel
Pedro met Chantel when he started teaching Spanish. She was very pretty – Chantel was beautiful. He was American – from the Dominican Republic. Together they made a very cute couple. It wasn't that hard to believe that it could be real. If Chantel had been a more mature woman like me, it would have been less believable. But these two look like models.

Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality shows to stream or watch right now.
So, Pedro and Chantel are very attractive people and to be honest, their looks didn't hurt them at all. Their pictures are probably the main reason why fans respond to them and enjoy watching their emotional fireworks on screen. There is nothing wrong with that. Producers think about this when they make movies, reality shows or anything. Foreigners play a role.
However, the fact that both are good-looking people may have masked some issues. For example, Pedro's ulterior motives may have been covered by both his glamor and his partner's beauty. Pedro and his family are rumored to be targeting Chantel. If one believes this version of events, from day one, Pedro knew he would use Chantel, shame her, and then dump her. If this is true, he is a bad person. He was very trusting and did nothing to deserve this kind of treatment.
But there is no hard evidence that this happened. There is a lot of circumstantial evidence that may point to a plan, but no actual evidence. Pedro denies using Chantel, saying he used to love her. Her former friend paints Pedro as a Green Card hunter and a liar, saying that he allowed his friends to make fun of Chantel in Spanish in front of her. Those friends, the “source” claims, were aware of Pedro's master plan. Pedro says the “source” is dishonest.
Joan Didion, accordingly They read wellwrote:
We tell ourselves stories to survive.
That's right, we do. We shape the facts, feelings and impressions we have into forms we can understand. Often we portray ourselves as heroes in this process. Most people don't think of themselves as evil. Also, sometimes when it comes to our own stories and other people's stories, we misunderstand. No story is without bias.
The judicial system was created to eliminate this bias and give a fairer assessment of the situation. Lawyers are trained to think critically. Without evidence, casting judgment can be wrong, so I try not to do that. I have a gut feeling but I need more evidence before I judge and maybe the fans are judging Pedro too much. Maybe I'm going too far in criticizing him because I've never met him. He may not be as bad as he thinks.
In real life there is emotion, it leads people astray and pushes them in different directions. Pedro says he never used Chantel. His ex-girlfriend says she always plans to use him. Who is telling the truth? It's more of a rumor without proof. Only hard facts can confirm the truth. Of course, those involved in this matter already know the truth. There will be gaslighting – there will be attempts to hide the unpleasant truth until it cannot be hidden. After that there is reception.
The fact is that Pedro broke up with Chantel. He didn't love her anymore, if he did. I'm glad she left him because the life she would have had with a man who faked her feelings would have been horrible, even if she was completely unaware. By leaving him, it gave him a chance to work through his pain, grow as a person, and become a stronger, better person…one who could reach his full potential. The decision to leave made him sad and unhappy, but it was his only hope for true happiness.
So whether he planned it or not, I think his choice to break up with Chantel was the right one. He could have stayed for the reality fame and the money it could have made — but he left. She sacrificed reality stardom to leave an unfulfilling marriage. Does he really have no chance of falling out of love? Would a real celebrity stalker give up a reality career that kept her in the spotlight? It never counted for me.
Is Pedro good or bad?
He Can Be A Little Bit Of Both
His family might have wanted him to use Chantel, but maybe he grew to love her anyway. Life is complicated. They were together for years. Only Pedro the pretentious realtor (as seen in the Instagram post above) knows the truth, but I'm personally so grateful that he had the courage to leave a woman he didn't love because staying with her would be the ultimate disrespect. Now he may not find love, but he is free from loveless things.
Based on his family's mercenary ways, Chantel's heartache, and more, I have negative thoughts about Pedro over and over again. Sometimes I like Pedro too – like when he posts some of his parents' English phrases, including hilarious mispronunciations of “Home Depot.” I found him attractive, well-groomed and fit. Just this Family Chantel star really hurt Chantel. It's hard to see a woman in so much pain.
