Jason Kelce came under the ire of some over the weekend after the retired Philadelphia Eagles star encountered a scammer who was making fun of his brother, Travis Kelce. Now the elder Kelce is addressing his behavior in the viral incident.
“I'm not happy with anything that happened. I'm not proud of it,” Kelce said on the Nov. 4 episode of ESPN. Monday Night Countdown. “In a heated moment, I chose to meet hate with hate, and I don't think that's a productive thing to do. I really don't think that leads to rhetoric and that's the right way to do things.”
“At that moment, I fell to a level I shouldn't have fallen to,” he continued. “The bottom line is, I try to live my life by the golden rule. That's what I've always been taught. I try to treat people with common courtesy and respect, and I'll continue to do that moving forward. I fell short on that this week, I'll continue to move forward to do that.”
“We have a game to focus on. A matchup. I don't think this is a platform to go into further detail,” he concluded.
Jason Kelce addressed the Penn State phone hacking incident and apologized at the start of ESPN's pregame show tonight:

It all started on November 2nd when someone came up to Kelce and asked him repeatedly, “How does it feel to have your brother be a total d*ck for dating Taylor Swift?” It started with him asking: In response, Kelce grabbed the man's phone, threw it on the ground, and asked him, “Who is it now?” he asked.
