Ted Lasso star Jason Sudeikis gave a stern glare to a group of aggressive autograph seekers on Sunday night. TMZ shows.
Sudeikis was leaving the Dynasty Typewriter comedy club in Los Angeles after a performance when the brawl occurred. It was reported that between 15 and 20 Sudeikis fans lined up outside the venue at 18.30 and waited for the match. Saturday Night Live I graduated by the time I left at 9:30pm.
Sudeikis' first encounter with fans was not captured on video, but as he quickly walked away from a large group as filming began, a man keeping up with the actor asked, “Can I at least take a picture?” he asks. Sudekis tells the man “no” and then quickly addresses the rest of the group.
“Guys, please stop. Stop. I'm not signing anything,” Sudeikis tells them. “I really have to go, I'm sorry. “It was too much,” he continued, referring to the encounter outside the venue. “This scared me so much. Actually, I'm just a human. Please stop. Please, I'm going home, good night. I am sad.”
Even when Sudeikis ducks into the parking lot, the man recording tries to barter for a photo or autograph. “Maybe while you're standing and waiting for you [car]?” the actor asks as he walks away.
The incident occurred shortly after pop singer Chappell Roan drew boundaries with his own fans about excessive behavior. “I don't care if harassment and harassment, stalking or whatever, is a normal thing to do to people who are famous or somewhat famous,” Roan said. “I don't care if this is normal.”
Earlier this month, Sudeikis SNL Co-star Maya Rudolph made similar statements and said she understood Roan's point of view.
“I was pleased that someone of his stature would say that honestly and openly,” Rudolph said. Diversity. “I think the moment people mentioned touching it was like, 'Ooh, I've never actually heard anyone mention that!' I thought. Because no one thinks about it when they're catching you, but actually it's not enjoyable for me and it's not good for me. “I wish I could handle it better, but I really can't.”
