Jyamma Games and other developers say Microsoft 'doesn't care' about their Xbox ports

Independent study Jyamma Games is indefinitely delaying the Xbox Series X|S port Enotria: The Last Song, and placed the blame squarely on Microsoft.

For IGNfounder Jacky Greco reportedly said on Discord that Xbox “obviously doesn't care Enotria and they don't care [players].”

THE Official announcement attributed the delay to “challenges” not present in the PlayStation 5 or PC versions coming September 19. But Greco was more candid on Discord, saying that Jyamma spent two months contacting Xbox with no response.

In mid-August, Haak developer Gemstone said the Xbox porting process was a “nightmare” to deal with. Greco's comments echo that sentiment, as he similarly said Jyamma was unable to open a store page and submit the game.

“We have [got] The Xbox Series X and S versions are ready, but we can’t proceed with shipping and distribution,” he wrote. “I spent a ton of money on the port and they decided to ignore us.”

The Troubled Saga of Xbox Porting

Studios have already expressed their displeasure with Microsoft's porting process. In several cases, such as with Baldur's Gate 3, The development problems stemmed from the Xbox Series S.

Earlier this week, Funcom product manager Scott Junior said VG247 it would be a “challenge” to bring his MMO Dune: Awakening to Xbox Series systems. He said there were “a lot of optimizations to be made,” and specifically highlighted the Series S.

And earlier today, Capcom said it was bringing its collection of fighting games on Xbox, albeit in 2025. Prior to that point, the developer had made no mention of either coming to the console, and the porting will only happen after “technical discussions.”

Last year, the head of Xbox Philosopher defended the existence of the Series S, arguing that it was necessary for gamers who couldn't buy a Series X or PlayStation 5. At the time, he said that he “don't see a world” where the Series S would be abandoned.
