Kevin Costner reunites Durham Bull starring Susan Sarandon, 36 years after the classic sports comedy hit theaters. Costner and Sarandon teamed up at Italy's 81st Venice International Film Festival to support the Better World Fund Gala, which aims to “raise awareness and funds to promote humanitarian aid and sustainable development around the world.”
Following their reunion, Costner shared a sweet photo of himself and Sarandon cozying up on a couch in a green room. “Nothing like catching up with an old friend,” Costner captioned the post. “It's great to see you @susansarandon—we've come a long way since our Durham Bull days. Proud to be joining Susan and their @better_world_fund initiative here at the #VeniceFilmFestival.”

Sarandon also posted a carousel of three photos showing her and Costner spending time together at the festival. “Such an honor [sic] “Receiving an award from this amazing organization @better_world_fund is twice as much fun,” Sarandon captioned the post. “And spending time with fellow award winner and dear friend @kevincostner is doubly enjoyable,” she said, adding that she can't wait to see Costner's passion project premiere at the festival on September 8. Durham Bull Costner starred as veteran baseball catcher Crash Davis, who becomes embroiled in a love triangle with baseball enthusiast Annie Savoy (Sarandon) and newcomer Nuke LasLoosh (Tim Robbins). The film was a critical success, grossing over $50 million on a $10 million budget, and was nominated for, but lost, Best Original Screenplay. Rain Man.
