Clerks II is honestly one of my favorite movies ever. I mean, this movie has some nasty dance numbers. My whole life changed because of Dante and Randal. When people see me, they [smile] because of some stupid movies I made. It was a gift to me from Dante and Randal. So I'm trying to return the favor in Clerks II.

Dante and Randal's dream is to never work for another shawl. I was amazed at how happy I was with my fictional characters and realized, “Oh my god, I might as well just go and buy Quick Stop.” So I started podcasting and created this whole other business and a touring business based on podcasting. And as far as sequels go, it's The Godfather 2 that's Clerks. I prefer 2.

Smith is right about this movie

Randal in the prison cell in Clerks 2

Secretaries II At this point in Smith's career, it was the least autobiographical. All of his previous 6 films took stories from his life or situation dogma and Jersey Girlhis feelings about Catholicism and his fear of becoming a father pulled him from working. I agree with Smith, Secretaries II is his best film. The film takes time to have fun with big dance numbers, ramps up the extreme humor with a bachelor party gone wrong, and cares about Dante and Randal. Besides just thanking the fans, Secretaries II It shows Smith's growth as a filmmaker.
