Mario, Splatoon, And Minecraft Figures Included In Best Buy’s Big Amiibo Sale

There’s a very real chance the age of the amiibo will soon come to an end. With a few figures releasing in the first two months of 2024 and a new Nintendo console announcement looming, if there are gaps in your amiibo collection you’ve been thinking about filling, now is the time to do it. Especially since Best Buy has figures from all sorts of Nintendo series on sale right now, knocking $5 off amiibos from Mario, Splatoon, Metroid, and Minecraft.

Among the reduced figures are some of the oldest amiibos Nintendo released. Mario, Princess Peach, Bowser, and Donkey Kong have all had $5 each knocked off the usual price of their amiibos. Likely figures missing from collections of anyone who didn’t get into amiibos right from the off, these might be characters missing from your amiibo shelf. Especially since Nintendo doesn’t tend to keep all amiibos restocked, reprinting them seemingly at random.

The sale prices of the amiibos will not appear until they’re in your cart. Most of the single figures have been reduced in price by $5, and the two-packs by $10. Make sure the sale prices have been applied before you checkout.

Shulk’s upcoming reprint is no coincidence. Noah and Mio of Xenoblade Chronicles fame will be getting all-new amiibos next month, so Shulk’s figure is getting reprinted and re-released on the same day for anyone who wants all three Xenoblade characters. None of those three figures are included in Best Buy’s sale, but Metroid Dread’s two-pack is. Usually $29.99, the two-pack that includes Samus and EMMI ammibos is currently available for $19.99.

Metroid Dread’s amiibo two-pack includes figures for Samus in her blue armor and one of the EMMIs she has to face throughout the game.

Also among the two-packs on sale for $10 less at Best Buy right now is the Minecraft pack. Featuring Steve and Alex, you can rank the pair right up there with Sora as characters I’d never thought I’d see sold as officially licensed Nintendo toys. Steve and Alex were added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as DLC, and everyone in Smash gets an amiibo. That even includes Sora who could make history by being the final amiibo ever made.

Some Smash fans feared Sora would never get an amiibo, leaving their collections forever unfinished. Not only is it definitely happening, but with a release date of February 16 now confirmed, certain retailers, Best Buy included, have started to create listings for the figure with some places even opening the amiibo up for pre-orders.
