Mark Wahlberg Will 'Always Miss' LA After Moving His Family to Las Vegas

Mark Wahlberg gave Hollywood Reporter An update on her family's new life in Las Vegas at the premiere of her new movie on Netflix UnityThursday night.

After decades of living in the showbiz capital of Los Angeles, Wahlberg has decided to move his wife and four children to Nevada. “I have to tell you, I miss standing here right now,” the actor said, standing outside the Egyptian Theatre in the middle of Hollywood Boulevard.

“I miss him all the time,” Wahlberg continued. “I loved him so much [here]But as I raise young people growing up, I wanted to make sure, first and foremost, that they were placed in a good, safe, healthy environment where they could thrive, pursue their interests and goals, and pursue the things they wanted to do in life.”

Wahlberg was quick to point out that his family is very attached to their new home. “We love Vegas, too. Vegas is a great place,” he said. “When you hear Las Vegas, you think of the Strip. When I think of Las Vegas, I think of great schools, great affordable housing, great jobs, a booming economy, small, tight-knit communities with a lot of sports teams. It’s a great place.”

But the thought of returning to Hollywood, where her children spent their early years, never leaves her mind. “We can always go back,” she teased to the outlet.

Wahlberg and his wife Rhea Durham attended the premiere with three of the couple's four children. Wahlberg and Durham posed for photos with Grace, 14, Brendan, 15, and Michael, 18. Their 20-year-old daughter Ella, who is currently in college, was missing.

Wahlberg stars opposite Halle Berry Unity. The duo play former high school sweethearts who reunite and get involved in an intercontinental heist. It's streaming now on Netflix.
