The history of Melbras began in 1990 when Carlos Augusto Delfim Carneiro, founder of the company, received a hive from a friend and began beekeeping as a hobby. Over time, what was a hobby turned into a business. The growing production and high quality of honey led Carlos Augusto to a prominent position in commercialization in the State, being one of the pioneers in the market. Innovative, entrepreneurial spirit, great experience and knowledge in the beekeeping market served as the basis for building the company, which counted from the beginning on the union of a family passionate about the field – this, in fact, the great foundation for Melbras’ growth.
