Fan favorite Spider-Punk has a new one Spider man He chose his title as a cool tough guy – and he's into heavy metal. “New Warriors Three” Part Two! J. Michael Straczynski revisits Thor and Spider-Man! When Captain America, Spidey, and Thor find themselves drawn to Broxton, Oklahoma, the trio must work together to find what drew them to the ruined city and Thor's greatest shame. But what they find may be too terrifying for even the greatest of heroes to overcome…

Captain America is a man past his time, although he tries to gain new experiences to acclimate him to modern culture. A heavy metal concert can be overwhelming even for a super soldier.

Steve Rogers

After several decades of being frozen, Cap has a lot of history to learn and things to try. He has had some pop culture hits, most notably the Brad Pitt movie he hated. But heavy metal doesn't necessarily seem like something that would be at the top of his list, and on the cover he looks scared to death. In a subtle character touch, as Spidey and Thor throw devil horns with their hands, Steve sticks out his thumb as he does so – “I love you” sign in American Sign Language.

This obviously wasn't Steve's idea, meaning either Peter Parker or Thor decided to take their friends out on a wild night. Heavy metal is big in Scandanavia and they often refer to Norse mythology, Thor is very familiar. Alternatively, Peter might want to try to be cool like Spider-Punk and think his friends will come along for the ride. It's not clear if this art is any part of the story in issue #15, but I hope it looks like it great camaraderie moment between the three heroes.

Spider-Girl leads the new Spider-Society team

The new Spider-Man has a great cast of multifaceted Spider-heroes, and a heavy metal-themed Spider-Man (or Spider-Woman) would be a fun addition to the crew. While there may be some aesthetic crossover with Spider-Punk, heavy metal has many of its own looks and tropes. They can be more muscular and bulky than other Spider-heroes, who are usually a bit more agile; think Metalocalypse in spider masks. They could have added vocal metal scream power like Aggretsuko. There are always new universes to explore and Heavy Metal Spiderman can be expected in any.
