Midnight Society, the studio behind the NFT shooter Fall, Last week, it laid off an unspecified number of employees.
News of the layoffs surfaced on social media over the weekend, with a senior environmental artist Tyler Moore's World saying it was “one of many” affected. The study later confirmed the “significant reduction in the workforce” at PC Gamer.
In its statement, Midnight Society attributed the layoffs to “multiple unexpected challenges” in recent months. It also said the cuts were made to “strengthen our foundation and refocus on our core mission.”

The Midnight Society was founded in 2021 from studio head Robert Bowling, creative director Quinn DelHoyo, and streamer Guy “Dr. Disrespect” Beahm. As PCGamer pointed out, much of Fall It was built around Beahm's online personality and his passion for the extraction shooter genre.
Last summer, Beahm was ousted from the Midnight Society after company management learned that he had allegedly sent a message to a minor via the Twitch Whispers feature which was discontinued in 2017. After initially denying The accusations, he admitted, were such that they led to his ban from Twitch in 2020.
In a recent interview with Esports.ggBowling confirmed that Beahm is not involved with Midnight Society. As for the recent layoffs, he said on the studio's Discord that he was still aiming to release Fall in 2025.
