Many runners and comfort enthusiasts have chosen Hoka shoes, but the brand is also starting to win the hearts of adventurers. Styles like the Speedgoat trail runner, Kaha hiking boot, and other low-profile hiking shoes feature Hoka's lightweight midsole design (a far cry from most outdoor shoes) and high-traction lug soles for excellent grip. The Trail Code GTX boot has become a fan favorite since it launched over the summer. While it's sold out at most retailers, a few colors have resurfaced at Nordstrom Rack and are selling for the lowest price we've ever seen.
Hoka Trail Code GTX Hiking Boots retail for $100; 45% off its regular price of $185. These water-resistant mid-height walking shoes have received nearly 200 five-star reviews from shoppers who say they're “definitely comfortable” and “better than expected on the trail.” They're available in five different colors and sizes 8 to 13, but they're selling out at an alarming rate.

These Hoka hikers are equipped with features that will give you a comfortable ride with plenty of durability and grip to explore the land. The midsole is made from Hoka's signature compression-molded EVA foam, which gives this shoe a soft-footed feel, and the Swallowtail-shaped elongated “Hubble” heel supports uneven transitions and flexes to accommodate uneven terrain, giving you solid footing. On the upper, a durable ripstop upper combines with a Gore-Tex membrane and waterproof coating to prevent splashes and light rain from soaking your feet. Underneath, the Trail Code wears a Vibram Megagrip rubber outsole with serrated 5mm lugs to bite into dirt and create locking traction.
Nordstrom Rack customers are impressed with the Trail Code's snug ride and overall performance. “These walkers are phenomenal,” one customer raved. “The best of both worlds; you can wear these while hiking, working, or just for fun; they're so comfortable and supportive.” Another shopper agreed, boldly declaring: “These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned!”

Others loved the Hoka's lightweight running effect juxtaposed against an otherwise heavy shoe. “You get a boot that is extremely lightweight, like a running shoe, but durable enough to do boot work,” one shopper said. “Quality and construction are top notch… Supportive and durable, yet extremely comfortable.”
Durable, comfortable and weatherproof, the Hoka Trail Code GTX offers many advantages for hiking and will keep your feet happy even on long walks in the wilderness. Hoka shoes, especially trail models with Gore-Tex, often command top-shelf prices, so getting a pair for almost half off is a great deal. Don't wait for it: Sizes are running out, so grab your pair while they're still in stock.
