Police Tuesday said a 3-year-old boy had been killed in his Brooklyn home and that they’d arrested a 29-year-old man in connection with the death.
According to NYPD officials, officers were called to a building on New York Avenue in Flatbush at around 10 p.m. Sunday, and found 3-year-old Denim Brown unconscious and unresponsive.
He was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County, where he was pronounced dead, officials said.
Police arrested Kevin James on Monday — officials said he lived in the same building as the little boy and is connected to the boy’s babysitter.
James was charged with murder, assault and acting in a manner injurious to a child, and his arraignment was pending in Brooklyn Criminal Court Tuesday afternoon. Information for his lawyer was not immediately available.
The city medical examiner was still working to figure out exactly how Brown died.
