The 2024 Olympics in Paris will see breakdancing, also known as breakdancing, make its long-awaited debut as an Olympic sport. On August 9 and 10, some of the world's best breakdancers will gather at the Place de la Concorde to showcase their skills and compete for Olympic gold, silver and bronze medals.
Snoop Dogg, who is covering the Games in Paris for NBC, opened the competition on August 9. The hit rapper, like many of his fans worldwide, enjoyed watching the women's competition.

Australian b-girl Raygun, who received 0 points from the jury in all three competitions she participated in, went viral on social media with her performance in the competition.
“There hasn't been a more dominant Olympic performance since Usain Bolt's 100m dash in Beijing in 2008. Honestly, the minute Raygun did his kangaroo move, this competition was over! Give him the breakdancing gold,” one person joked.

The historic day also featured Afghanistan's Manizha Talash, who competed for the Refugee Olympic Team and was Afghanistan's first female breaker at the Games. Talash pulled out a cape that read “Free Afghan women” during her final lap, resulting in her disqualification for “displaying a political slogan on her outfit.” USA Today.

At the end of the competition, Ami Yuasa from Japan won the gold medal, Dominika Banevič from Lithuania won the silver medal, and Liu Qingyi from China won the gold medal.
For the men, a break is planned for August 10 at Place de la Concorde.
