A first look at the live-action Tony Tony Chopper One Piece season 2 has been revealed and it shows what the Doctor of Straw Hats would have looked like in his original form. Netflix's Geeked Week made several key announcements about the upcoming season 2, including the announcement that Joe Manganiello and Lera Abova have joined the cast. One Piece as Mr. 0 and Miss All Sunday respectively. While Crocodile and Robin's casting confirmations were highly anticipated, so was the first look at Chopper.

One Piece Season 2 is currently filming in South Africa and a release date has yet to be announced. Eiichiro Oda previously confirmed that season 2 would cover Loguetown to Drum Island, with Arabasta possibly being saved for season 3. Live-action Chopper in One Piece season 2 teaser

Arguably is the most awaited part One Piece Season 2 was what Chopper would look like live-action. Given that Chopper is a reindeer who gains human traits and characteristics after eating a Devil Fruit, it's not a very easy character to translate from the pages of the manga to the screen. It was not clear how One Piece Season 2 was going to introduce Chopper, but now it's been confirmed that he will be created through visual effects. Puppets and other cinematics may be used, but Chopper is confirmed as a CG character.

Although One Piece The season 2 cast read by Netflix doesn't show much of Chopper, but it does offer a nice look at the character. Chopper is shown from behind, the visual effects used to create it blending perfectly with the rest of the footage, as if the fan-favorite doctor was actually there behind the table reading. Chopper's face, ears, and iconic pink hat all feature furit reminds me of how Pikachu and other Pokemon are portrayed Detective Pikachu. Chopper can't be heard, casting is yet to be announced.

Tony Tony Is Known For Changing The Chopper Look In One Piece

This One Piece Won't Be Chopper's Only Form in Live Action

Not only is Chopper's base form already complicated to draw in live action, but his Devil Fruit powers allow him to change his appearance. This ability was given to Chopper by Hito Hito no Mior Human-Human fruit. Chopper often uses his human-reindeer hybrid form, but he can transform into a somewhat fully human version of himself. Chopper's human form is stronger and physically weaker than his base form, and is often seen during battles or in difficult times.

Chopper is voiced by Ikue Ōtani in most episodes of the anime. In the current English dub of the anime, Chopper is voiced by Brina Palencia.

Chopper can also adjust other parts of his body depending on the situation, his Devil Fruit powers enhanced by the Rumble Ball allow him to change his limbs and even his fur at will. One of the most interesting things about Chopper is how a cute-looking reindeer with human features and a fun personality transforms into a Hulk-like creature ready to take on anyone in the middle of a fight. I'm curious to see how Chopper will look in action in hybrid and human form One Piece season 2, but the first look is incredibly exciting.
