Golf phenom Paige Spiranac is known for her social media videos showcasing her golf skills or Halloween costumes, but in addition to her sport, Spiranac has also long loved something else: comic books.
In a Q&A on her Instagram Stories on September 23, Spiranac opened up about her love of comics and how she's loved reading them her entire life. During her college years at San Diego State University, she would even frequent the local comic book store, but as she got older, she had less time to read them.
“I don’t have the hobby as much as I used to, but I loved comics,” Spiranac admitted. “There was a comic book store in San Diego that I would go to all the time, and I’m so busy now that I can’t invest in it as much.”
Spiranac's current focus is the world of sports.
“I love sports. I'm a real sports fanatic and it's great that my job can include sports because I love watching every sport. I love learning about different athletes. It's always been something I've been really interested in and now it's great that I can talk about sports 24/7,” he said.
Earlier this year, Spiranac supported rising women's basketball star Caitlin Clark and slammed other female athletes who try to tear down other women's achievements. Clearly, Spiranac's love for sports and athletes doesn't discriminate based on sport or gender.
