Warning: Major spoilers for Platform 2 below!Platform 2 expands on the premise of the original film, but it decides to leave the central question of the series a mystery. Original Platform Coming to Netflix in 2019, the story takes place in a hellish prison called the Center for Vertical Self-Government. The film was an on-the-nose but powerful metaphor for capitalism and the unfair distribution of wealth in society. of the platform the ending left a lot of unanswered questions, but I also felt like that was the point.
A new cast of characters is introduced Platform 2 – Although some familiar faces also make surprise appearances. Returning director Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia's sequel is even more sinister and dark than the first entry, as new resident/inmate Perempuan (Milena Smith) must quickly adjust to life at the Vertical Self-Governing Center. Platform 2 The ending will once again leave viewers with questions, though it at least expands on the fate of the original's protagonist Goreng (Ivan Massague).
Platform 2 Still Keeps the Prison's Origin and Purpose Mysterious
The story behind the Vertical Self-Management Center is not revealed
Platform The young girl Goreng gave the audience a lot to chew on once the credits rolled, including her fate of salvation in the final moments. One thing he deliberately kept vague was the purpose of the Vertical Self-Management Center. Outside of interview scenes or montages of cooks preparing food for the platform, the story takes place entirely in the prison itself. The movie never reveals who built it or why while Platform 2 opens up the premise a bit more, the origins of the giant tower are still a mystery.
Pulling back the curtain on the administration further and explaining why they built such a nightmare would be an obvious way for a sequel. Logically, this should be some kind of social experiment, the authorities behind it want to see how different classes of people react to the unique conditions inside. This, of course, has been speculation ever since Platform 2 It's smart to leave this part of the franchise in question.

Specific Answers About Platform Jail Will Only Disappoint
Platform 3 doesn't have to explain the mystery either
Time will tell Platform 2 is enough of a success to spawn another sequel, but the film clearly doesn't set the stage for a third chapter. While some may be disappointed that the second film doesn't reveal much more about the Vertical Self-Control Center, any definitive answer will only be difficult. Either it's exactly what it's theorized to be—an experience perverted by an evil government—or it's something even stranger in origin.
The future
Platform
A sequel explaining that the prison was actually built by aliens, or indeed Hell, would only be a departure from the mysteries of the franchise.
Not having answers is part of the hook for both Platform movies and lets people fill in the blanks themselves. A future sequel that explains the prison was actually built by aliens, or indeed Hell will just get away with it. A third angle Platform could potentially explore the existence of other Vertical Self-Government Centers in different countries, but again a level of uncertainty regarding their purpose should be maintained.
