The Bucks County District Attorney's Office said they were able to make the raid after tracking several shipments in the area, each containing hundreds of thousands of dollars' worth of illegal substances. Postal workers in Kentucky also seized three shipments containing about $1.2 million worth of cocaine and methamphetamine inside three Bluetooth speakers.
District Attorney Jennifer Schorn said the gang was able to move about $5 million worth of drugs from California to Pennsylvania in the past six months. The four Pennsylvania men and two California men who have not yet been caught face charges including possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, conspiracy to possess with intent to deliver a controlled substance and criminal use of a communications facility.
“This case shows that there is no limit to the lengths traffickers will go to profit from selling poisons that devastate families and communities,” said Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry. “This multimillion-dollar network included monthly cross-country trips to California, where purchases were made and shipments were arranged back to the Commonwealth. The incredible collaboration of our law enforcement partners disrupted this sophisticated organization and shut down a cocaine and methamphetamine pipeline.”
The District Attorney made a similar statement. “I hope the outcome of this investigation serves as a warning to drug dealers in our community that your crimes will be detected, caught and prosecuted, and we will not tolerate criminal organizations that profit off those suffering from addiction,” Schorn said.
It would definitely be an unforgettable karaoke party.
