Poncle launches publishing division for third-party developers

Vampire survivors studio Poncle enters the world of publishing with a division aimed at supporting third-party developers.

For Games industrythe studio revealed its plans at Game Republic's recent Pitching to Investors and Publishers event. The studio stressed that it does not want to be a “traditional publisher” focused on intellectual property.

Instead, he hopes to provide the support that “allows people to do They games.” Additional support includes QA, localization, platform support, and release management.

To further highlight the projects he wants to help with, Poncle will offer development advice on games with “sincerity, passion and depth.” Its main “insta-nos” include web3 or AI-created games, free-to-play mobile titles, and “Survivor-likes” too similar to Vampire survivors.

At the time of writing, Poncle does not have a form or website for interested developers to apply as potential partners.

More publishers are forming, but will they all make it?

Poncle is the latest independent studio to open a publishing label. Earlier this year, both Owl Games AND Inner sloth they launched their own, with a focus on narrative-driven games and “fun, original and clever” titles.
