Popular Sandwich Chain Joins the Value Food Wars with $10 Combo

Jimmy John's, the popular sandwich chain with more than 2,700 locations across the U.S., announced this week that it's joining the increasingly crowded affordable food wars with a new limited-time meal deal.

The offering, called the $10 Total Package Meal, comes with an original eight-inch sandwich, chips, dessert, and a drink of your choice. While it's more expensive than some rival fast food chains like McDonald's and its limited-time $5 value meal, the company says America Today “We are testing the available options in the market because let's face it, the affordable meals in the market are not enough for someone looking for a filling meal,” he said on Monday.

Taco Bell also introduced a $7 Luxe Cravings Box in June; Wendy’s now offers a $3 breakfast and Sonic recently introduced a new $1.99 menu item.

It's unclear how long these value propositions will last, but in the meantime they're sure to provide at least temporary relief for customers affected by inflation.
