A homeowner who rented her home on Vrbo claims two nightmare guests caused hundreds of thousands of dollars in water damage after they filled the drains with pizza. Now, her livelihood and the livelihood of her small business are at risk. Ashley Deutsch makes incredible claims AZ Familyand provided the footage to prove it.
Deutsch is trying to piece together exactly what happened at his rental property in Sheboygan Falls, WI, earlier this month. But one thing is certain: the guests’ cover-up efforts were over before they even began. The landlord’s phone started ringing at 4 a.m. with a live feed of the incriminating footage.
Two male guests were photographed by Deutsch's security cameras arriving at the house in an unsteady state, holding beers and threatening violence against each other. “I'll f— you in the street,” one said before entering the house.
Just seconds later, after discovering the flooding, two men rushed outside to plan a cover-up. “Let's just get this over with,” one can be heard saying. “We can say we're awake.”
Later footage shows guests throwing paper towels, bedding and carpets down the stairs onto the wet ground floor.
Deutsch said the flood used 640 gallons of water and was the result of guests leaving the faucet running for hours after the drain was blocked. “The sink was clogged with pizza and things they might have eaten for dinner,” the mother of four recalled. “It was very frustrating to hear them trying to make up lies to excuse their behavior while they were squeezing the towel with their feet.”
The destruction was so severe that it damaged the tattoo shop below Deutsch’s apartment. Jamie Princeon opened the small business just a few months ago and it will now remain closed until at least the end of September.
“It was just soaked,” Princeon said. “Hundreds of hours of work went into making this studio what it is, and I just saw it all get torn away,” he lamented.
Both Deutsch and Princeon plan to take legal action against the two guests. Both women have been forced to sell various personal items to pay for repairs. “I think we'll come back much stronger,” Princeton said of herself and her upstairs neighbor.
